Howdy Everyone Try the Warner Brothers website that Larry gave. they have it on VHS and DVD. I have the old VHS and so that's what I ordered. Good Luck. Jan Yes, you are correct! WE loved it also...I went on the ABC site but only the CD seems to be for sale right now. One could watch it over and over; symbolism was rich in it, wasn't it?
I finally found him, he was not listed on the site, but it took some doing. I wished that they had not took North of 60 off here in the states.
I had to switch it
Boozhoo, The Gathering of Nations Pow-Wow they were going to in the movie is an actual event down here in Albuquerque. This year the dates are April 22-24, 2004 ...The movie showed the pow-wow outdoors but it's actually indoors. The vendors here have every conceivable thing Native & are set up around the top of the Pit & out doors. It's a 3 day event...the last 2 dedicated to the dancers, give aways & the awesome guest drummers from around the US & at times Canada. It's an All Nations gathering & wonderful. It's held in the UNM Pit..where the basketball games are played. The Pit has an arena similar in style to the old ancient Roman Coliseum. No matter where you sit you can see & the dancers come by the 500's..almost a thousand on the floor for Grand Entry..I cry everytime I see it which is every year..the colors dazzle, when they dance it's like looking at a kaleidoscope... Everything Native..foods, clothing, music, School grants info centers, medical info..the new Native musicians, actors at times appear too for autographs, you name it. Should anyone wish to experience an amazing site....this is it. My husband says now he knows how Custer felt (he's Scottish) but Indian at heart now, surrounded by soooo many traditional peoples...I'm a Chicago transplant & miss the U.P. areas of my families, but this makes it all worth living down here in the high desert. This is the site you can go to for info... www.gatheringofnations.com Baamaapii. teri b ----- Original Message ----- From: <NISHNAWBE-D-request@rootsweb.com> To: <NISHNAWBE-D@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, December 30, 2003 4:34 PM Subject: NISHNAWBE-D Digest V03 #247
I thought Dakota House was on the show, from North of 60, but I could not find him listed.

thanks for catching that I thought folks were chatting about a different story, it was in two parts,
I loved the pow wow scenes too. I wish they would of shown more of the pow wow. I think the mass majority of people in the u.s. don't realize that pow wow's still go on. The colors and beauty of the regalia were so neat and it would be great to share this on tv with a huge audience. deb ************************************** Debbie Bert <debbiebert@ameritech.net> ************************************** What you accept, you teach. > -----Original Message----- > From: Wanda Music [mailto:wandamusic@worldnet.att.net] > Sent: Tuesday, December 30, 2003 5:38 PM > To: NISHNAWBE-L@rootsweb.com > Subject: Re: [NISHNAWBE] DREAMCATCHER...Did you see it on tv? > > > My favorite part was by far the last scene where he became the > story teller > for his grandfather. > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Spiritdove" <imburgia@whidbey.com> > To: <NISHNAWBE-L@rootsweb.com> > Sent: Tuesday, December 30, 2003 2:55 PM > Subject: Re: [NISHNAWBE] DREAMCATCHER...Did you see it on tv? > > > > What was your favorite part? > > > > Spiritdove ~v~ > > > > > > on 12/30/03 11:21 AM, Wanda Music at wandamusic@worldnet.att.net wrote: > > > > > I agree...watched it and LOVED it. Yes, I too watched Dreamkeeper. I enjoyed it greatly. It made me sad to think that my ancestors were unable to tell me stories handed down from generation to generation the way they were done in the years past. Too much white blood over the years has made it impossible to connect with the spirits of old. I have attempted to tell my grandchildren of their past but it is all from researching and not from actual accounts of my forefathers even though it is not too far back. I would recommend anyone watching this if they have the opportunity again......redtailchickenhawk...... ----- Original Message ----- From: Wanda Music <wandamusic@worldnet.att.net> To: <NISHNAWBE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, December 30, 2003 5:37 PM Subject: Re: [NISHNAWBE] DREAMCATCHER...Did you see it on tv? > My favorite part was by far the last scene where he became the story teller > for his grandfather.
