Hi James Forgot to mention. In response to your question "Which parent(s) are Native". In the 1901 Canadian Census for Simcoe (East) / District 113 / Sub-district n-5 (Tiny) / Schedule 1 page 12, Lines 46 to 50 where Antoine is identified as Antium, the family are identified with the colour identifier "FB" - French Breed. I know that Antoine's mother was native but I have not yet found out which parent of Cecile was native. It is possible the ancestry for her was farther back. Not everyone identified their aboriginal ancestry in the Census but it was unusual for a person to claim native ancestry if they did not have it so I have to assume that Cecile has native ancestry somewhere in her background. Now that someone has brought up this lineage. I would like to know how researchers have claimed that Charlotte Sayer/Bechanokwetokwe who was married to Shaweno/Kewainze and had a daughter, Charlotte, in 1828 could be the same Charlotte that was married to my Isadore Lacaille. The only names I have found for my Charlotte (and documented) are Pemoussa and Marche. She was the daughter of a Fox Chief in Wisconsin. Her mother was Kickapoo. She was 20 years old on the 1836 Treaty Census making her birth ca 1816. How could she have a daughter in 1828 with Shawano? I cannot find who researched this information and posted the information on the net of my Charlotte having 3 marriages, one of which is mentioned in the message. Jim please help. Hello All Well I am glad it just was not me. I was on vacation and my life has been very hectic since returning and I just started noticing that I was not receiving any emails - however I received a few today after my test email so it just must be that everyone is also busy. By the way I vacationed in northern Wisconsin in the LAc Courte OReilles area and attended the Honor the EArth Pow Wow. It was great!
