    3. Aanim: Yes, special case enrollments start January 3, 2005. For example: 1. Were adopted as minors into non-tribal households and were not aware of ancestry until adulthood. 2. Did not have Biological fathers named on birth certificate and ancestry is traced through paternal ancestry. 3. Were listed on parents' enrollment applications as minors, but proper documentation to become enrolled members prior to reaching 18 years of age was not submitted, or individuals born after parents' original enrollment dates and were not listed with other siblings on parents' applications. 4. Were prevented from enrolling due to being on active duty in the U.S. military at time of roll closure. 5. Were placed in foster care, orphanages or other out-of-home placement as minors. 6. Have family members such as fathers, mothers, siblings, grandparents, aunts or uncles enrolled in the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians. 7. There are also unspecified instances that may qualiify one for special enrollment. These situations do not guarantee enrollment. Each special case exception will be reviewed and approved or denied through the special needs enrollment committee. Final decisions will be made by the tribal board of directors. Megwetch, Paul E. 3. Anita, A question: in NISHNAWBE Thursday, 18 Nov 2004; 12:51 am, you make the statement that Benjamin LIBERTY was married to Marie ERMATINGER and he was the brother of Godfrey and they were sons of Benjamin LALIBERTE & Rosalie LAGACE. Then in NISHNAWBE Friday 19, 2004; 8:13 (thisone below), you state Benjamin LIBERTYs mother was Marie LIBERTY BIBEAU, dau. of Godfrey LIBERTY & Josephte LACOY. Which is correct? Thanks, Jim. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Anita Nelson" <anelson1@jamadots.com> To: <NISHNAWBE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, November 19, 2004 8:13 AM Subject: [NISHNAWBE] Ermatinger/Thanks > Oh my goodness. 3. I'm too tired too figure that out. ha ha. I spent the afternoon washing, cooking, and packing. In between time, tried to straighten up all my files. I had a mess from digging through all my material the last few weeks. I cannot believe what I have collected over the years. I have gotten three calls since the news about the enrollment being re-opened. One called me at work because of my unlisted number. Good thing I made copies of the application. I tried to tell people that not all are going to be enrolled. It depends on the situation. Would appreciate the copy. megwetch ----- Original Message ----- From: "Paul Petosky" <paul_petosky@yahoo.com> To: <NISHNAWBE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, November 19, 2004 5:18 PM Subject: Re: [NISHNAWBE] re: Edouard Boisvert & Marquerite Shagocoui > Anita: > > Marquerite Katahiujenj is the same person as Shagocoui. I received all the e-mails A-OK! I have attached a marriage certificate showing that Alexander Clarence Day & Catherine Boisvert were married on 24 Feb 1852 in Sault Sainte Marie, MI. Catherine then married Francis (Frank) Tracy, aka Tacey, Tacy, Texier, Tessier on 23 July 1855 in Sault Sainte Marie, MI. Catherine Day died on November 8, 1897 in Sault Sainte Marie, MI. This is what threw me off...for awhile I thought their were two Catherine Boisvert's. Now we have the mystery solved! When Catherine married Francis Tacey (my gg grandparents).....they had a daughter named Alice.......Alice married James M. Clark(e), (my g grandparents), their daughter Anna, married Samuel L. McMullen (my grandparents), Sam & Anna had two children, Hazel (my mom) and Clinton. So, this is where I fit in the bloodline of the Chippewa Indians. I really appreciate everyones help, and if their is something else that I should know about and have left out in my lineage let me know. Thanks, Paul E. 2. HI Anita I made a mistake on the name of Richard Ermatinger who I said came over on the MayFlower. I meant to say Richard Warren. I believe it was Maria who was frist married to Wyman Warren then she married Ermatinger when Wyman died on a ship coming to Detroit due to ill health. Will have to check my records on this one. Jim thank you for the extra infromation that I did not have on the Ermatinger family. Vicki Moorhead
