    1. [NIR-TYRONE] Wasson-McConnell familes
    2. Here's what I was able to find on the WASSON surname in Co. Tyrone According to the "Householders Index," only 5 heads of household were recorded in Griffith's Valuation in 1860 (a year after your people had emigrated) and were located in the same Poor Law Union of Castlederg and both Barony of Omagh West but in two different civil parishes Ardstraw and Urney. WASSON Householders Recorded Civil Parish Poor Law Union Year of Valuation Present In Parish Year of Survey 1 ARDSTRAW 4 URNEY WASSONs were present in both of these parishes in the Tithe Applotment circa 1833. I hope this is helpful. -Clare L. -----Original Message----- <<< am researching my ancestors in the Wasson family. John Wasson and his wife Jane (nee McConnell) came to Australia on board the ship Daphne in 1[8]59 (departed from London). I believe they married in 1855 in Ireland. John was probably born in Co. Tyrone. I am seeking any details of their life in Ireland, their Irish families and how they came to travel to Australia.>>>
