Hi List: I have been advised by a fellow List Member, that LDS have not microfilmed, any significant BMD Records for Either Aughnacloy Presbyterian, or Carnteel COI Churches, because the Presbyterian & COI Churches would not give LDS access to their records. All relevant records are held at PRONI, and an independent researcher must be hired to obtain the relevant records. Before hiring an independent researcher, I was wondering if any one had access to the following BMD Records ? It is my understanding that this entire family lived on Skey Town Land. a) Marriages at Aughncloy Presbyterian Church 1) John Cobean and Mary "Unknown", ca 1810-11, or possibly later. Ontario Census records indicate their 1st son was born ca 1812, but John was born ca 1794, thus was ca 16 in 1810, and this may have been too young. John's father was also a John Cobean (Cobane), I think. Thus marriage my have been a few years after 1810. 2) Thomas Cobean & Eliza "Unknown" (but also possibly Cobean), ca 1818, as marriage of 1st child was Dec 1820. Father was also probably John Cobean , born ca 1752. b) Births at Aughnacloy Presbyterian Church 1) Alexander Cobean: born ca 1812 +, father John 2) Agnes/Nancy Cobean: born ca 1821, father John 3) John Cobean: born ca Dec 1820, father Thomas 4) Priscilla Cobean: born ca 1823, father Thomas c) Births at Carnteel COI Church (since these records are not available at Aughnacloy) 1) Robert Cobean: born ca 1805, father John 2) Edward Cobean: born ca 1808 I would appreciate hearing from anyone who may have access to the above records.
