I am looking for a BEAVER family from Tyrone, the only name I have is ESTHER BEAVER. However I have been told they may be connected to Tully Reavy House in Tyrone. Can anyone tell me where this might be or have been please?? Thank you Joan
Joan, There is a by the name of townland of Tullyreavy located in the Poor Law Union (& registration district) of Cookstown, in the civil parish of Desertcreat & the Barony of Dungannon Upper . It is 242 acres in size (see www.seanruad.com) Do you have a timeframe for your Esther BEAVER? According to the Householders Index, there were only 3 heads of household in the County by that surname. Two were in the civil parish of Clonfeacle and one in the civil parish of Drumglass at the time of Griffith's valuation in 1860. At the time of the Tithe Applotment, the BEAVER surname was found in Clonfeacle civil parish (year 1823) but not in Drumglass (in 1826). Both of these civil parishes were in the Poor Law Union (& later Registration Dist.) of Dungannon. -----Original Message----- I am looking for a BEAVER family from Tyrone, the only name I have is ESTHER BEAVER.
