She was the grand-daughter of Anna's brother John Cowan. There is a John Cowan who still owns one of two farms in Burndennet Tyrone.This is the original one where my family came from. Are you familiar with the 'Ulster Covenant'? If not, in 1912 all of those in Ireland who wished to remain Britsih and not go into a united Ireland signed a petition. There were half a million people signed it and you can view it on-line, including the original signatures. I did a search just and found four Craigmile's. All ladies. Two in Fintona and two in Belfast, i'm sure they would all be the same family. If you want to look, do a search for the 'Public Record Office Northern Ireland' and follow links for the Ulster Covenant. All of my people signed it, Elliott's, McConnell's, Cowans.
