Thanks Teri, nice to hear from you. Hope that all is well. Beginning to work on the ancestry but it is more on the maternal side. Have found a Dillen way back when who married a great, great grandmother who became the limb on the tree for the long lost (for me) grandfather that I never knew existed: Clifford Herdman from Pennsylvania. Working on that while I await the Hounihan and O'Carroll connection from County Cork - grandparents some ways back and guess what, they got some Gahagan's in there too. Oh well, it is rather trying isn't it. But take it one step at a time. The Dillen, by the way, was born in Derry around 1800 to 1803. I will look up Michael J. Carroll and the Patrick Carroll connections or at least names. Patrick was a brother of Mickey, and they all came from that area - but so did a lot of other McCarroll's.
