I'm a descendent of Strong Dinning Thorington and Margaret Watson. I'm from the Jack Thorington line (orginally John Henry Thorington later renamed Jack). I'm stuck and can't find anything farther back from where you are in Caledon. I think there might have been a name change when they came to the states to Thorington. I'd love to talk about it when you have a chance.
