Her father was John McLelland, born 6 Feb 1905 at 33 Raise Street, Saltcoats. His father was William Jamesw McLelland, married 16 Mar 1894 in Beith to Catherine Hart (his second marriage I think), died 13 Dec 1837 at 1 Esplanade Cottages, Saltcoats. I did not realise that my father in law had so many brothers. I only knew of George and William. (He lived in McKillop Place if I remember right.) My FIL never talked to me of his relatives and I was not interested in family history then so I have very little information about his relatives. I have no knowledge of Ellen Young, Presumably she is one of your relatives. Many thanks for the information you have given me. I am quite happy to share what I have, including sources.
