There is an entry for Samuel John Hamilton: "s of John Hamilton, Ballykine, Ballynahinch; educ QCB [Queen's College Belfast],ACB, NCE BA(RUI) 1893; lic Down 25 June 1895; ord Miss[ion] to SA [South Africa] 22 Sept 1896; Clifton, Johannesburg 1897-1906; rec Down 1907; inst Bothwell Parish Ch, Scot[land] 24 June 1910; m. 26 Aug 1899, Adeline, dau of Joseph McCully; d result of an accident at Elie 3 Sept 1926" - not sure if this is John's brother. There is another Saml John H. listed, but he is the son of Mark Hamilton, Ballykeel, Dromore. The Presbyterian Historical Society in Belfast no longer provide family history information, but as your enquiry is about ministers they may be able to help.
