John's father(according to marriage cert.) was David Mc Dowell and there I'm stuck - can't find any David Mc Dowell/McDowall.Madole anywhere to fit the time frame. Lizzie Black was the daughter of Joseph Black who married Martha Craig,a widow, nee Weir(father Joseph Weir)in 1858 in Malkone Pres Church.Joseph Black was born 1822 in Kildress,Co Tyrone - must have gravitated to Belfast c 1850's.Lizzie Black had sisters Jane Black m'd James Irwin,Mary Black m'd Thomas Sinclair,Margaret Black m'd W.J. Shirlow and a brother Joseph Black b 1865 that I know nothing more about.Any help with David Mc Dowell appreciated. Betsy Harper.
