Thomas Falconer and his wife arrived in Upper Canada (Ontario) in 1821. They left Scotland in April and arrived at the Port of Quebec in June. they were transported down the St. Lawrence to Prescott, Ontario and live in an encampment until sometime in July. Hamilton Falconer the youngest of Thomas and Hamilton's children died in July, probably in the encampment which was located in front of Fort Wellington. Thomas and his wife Hamilton PcPhun came to Canada with four children, 2 sons, Thomas and Daniel and two daughters, Agnes (Nancy) and Hamilton. they were part of an resettlment program for Scootish weavers from the Glasgow area.
