I should have added that I do not know their parents' names. For Robert and his wife Mary I have the sons names in birth order as: John, Robert, Archibald, William, Christopher Colin, James, and Arthur. The daughters were Catherine, Janet, Margaret, Elizabeth, Isabella, Mabel, and Mary. The problem of using the traditional naming pattern is that they had their first infant son die and their second infant daughter die. Mary's father was John McQueen which further complicates the matter. Francis and Frances had much the same situation losing their first infant son rather quickly and daughters before some survived. Their children's name order don't help. Same for Archibald and his wife Margaret. Francis and Frances' sons were: Christopher (died as an infant), Robert, William, Archibald, and Hugh. Their daughters were: Mary, Margaret, and Isabella. Francis died fairly young at the age of 45. Archibald and Margaret had the following sons: Robert, Francis, Christopher, Alexander, Archibald, and Samuel. Their daughters were: Mary, Margaret, Nancy, Agnes, Susan (under scrutiny), Catherine, Jane, and Ellen. Cliff.
