Interesting. I've heard of this before. A great many of he Scottish lowlanders from the southwest of Scotland were involved with the East India Company and sailed on ships called naturally enough the 'East Indiamen". These merchant ships which when they were painted were made to look like a standard British Frigate. Anyhow, a large number of these Scots from the Campbells on down were lonely out "east" and "married" a large number of Chinese-Oriental women from the ports. Many of these women were brought back to Scotland. There are a large number of Chinese in both Scotland and Ireland and no doubt the Mongolian eyes will become common place. The Russians also carried out mt-DNA studies and found that the Finns have much in common with this type of ancestry as well as a large number of Vikings who returned to Sweden [Varangians] from their postings in and along the southern Volga and especially their days in Constantinople.
