These counties border each other. Residents for example could attend school in one county, and attend church in another. My great grandfather and his seven siblings were born between 1883 and 1895. Spellings McGurn and McGurren. All official birth records give their place of birth as 'Cabragh, Trillick, Co. Fermanagh'. I was born in Donegal and from memory and checking maps Cabragh is in south Tyrone. Can anyone shed any light on why official birth certificates for this period would say Co. Fermanagh.
