They were from the townland, Congo, in County Tyrone. My great-great grandfather was Alexander McClelland. I think his father was named John. Alexander was born about 1832. He had a brother, William, who was the oldest sibling. Alexander left Ireland about 1848 for New York. Any help you can give me as to where I can search for records on this family would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
