My name is Dave Hudelson and my 3g grandfather was John TAGGART, born County Tyrone at a disputed date (some say 12 Aug 1756, some say 1765). His wife was Elinor (or Elenor or Eleanor) GIBSON. John apparently died in 1806 -- his will was probated 05 Jan 1807, with his brother Moses TAGGART a co-executor. I don't know when John came to America; Moses TAGGART and his wife Mary McCaslan came to Abbeville SC via Charleston in 1791. Some say his brother had preceeded him. I don't know where in County Tyrone these TAGGARTS came from, and I have no information about their parents. Anybody have more information about them?
