I'm looking for more information in Fermanagh for a family that immigrated to Australia in 1842 on the ship "Broom" to Australia. Alexander Gardner (b. abt 1813 - 1817) and his wife Mary Anne Symington (b. abt 1815) with their children Christopher James b. 1836, Fermanagh, and Johanna b. 1842 at sea, settled in Manilla, New South Wales, Australia. The Broom ship passenger documentation has Mary Anne Symington from Ennidskillen, Fermanagh as well as her husband Alexander Gardner. (but Alexander's death certificate in Australia has Tyrone as his birth place) Alexander's parents are listed as James and Mary Gardner. Mary Anne's parents are listed as George Symington and Elizabeth Gardner. I'm wondering if there might be a connection with your William James Symington.
