Were married in 1844 in Jo Daviess, IL. Moved across the river to Dubuque. George died before 1870, By 1880 Mary moved to Ponca, NE and homesteaded with Peter, her son. Mary and/or Peter Nichols had a young boy Jas or John Herring living with them. Now I know it must be Perring.
