    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: EileenWilson001 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.britisles.ireland.tyr.general/60.828.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: This is likely your Wilsons in the 1861 Scottish Census: Name: Reebard Wilson Age: 57 Estimated Birth Year: abt 1804 Relationship: Head Spouse's name : Ann Wilson Gender: Male Where born: Ireland Registration number: 644/8 Registration district: Anderston Civil parish: Glasgow Barony County: Lanarkshire Address: 166 Main Street Occupation: Shoe-maker ED: 83 Household schedule number: 8 Line: 17 Roll: CSSCT1861_109 Household Members: Name Age Reebard Wilson 57 Ann Wilson 48 James Wilson 23 Thomas Wilson 21 Richard Wilson 12 Edward Wilson 5 Thomas Hay 59 The large age gap between the kids suggests that there were other children who likely died in infancy. You need to find the death record for Richard Sr. in Scotland which will hopefully name his parents. The family seems to have settled in Quebec where I find Richard Jr. with a wife and child in the 1881 census, and Edward is living with his mother. All of them are in Windsor Mills, Quebec. Ann's burial record in the parish records of the Presbyterian Church in Windsor Mills, indicates she is the widow of Richard Wilson, a native of Tyrone, Ireland; died 1 November 1888; buried from the residence of her son, Richard Wilson, to the cemetery in Brompton. Witnesses were Thomas & Edward Wilson. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
