The oldest Indenture is dated 12th March 1732 and is Between the Right Honable [Honorable?] the Lord [Mountjoy?] and William Buchannon of Beragh Manor of Newtownstewart parish of Cappy Co Tyrone witnessing that Lord Mountjoy set let to farm all ye Upper three quarters of Upper Beragh with all Rights and [M?]embers thereunto belonging Royalties excepted. To have & to Hold from 1st Day of November last during ye Natural Lives of Matthew Buchannon of Carnodowey parish Raphoe Co Donegal Brother to said Wm [William?] Buchannon Arch's [Archibald?] Hamilton of Darton parish of Orney Co Tyrone and of Thos [Thomas?] Buchanan son of said Wm [William?] Buchanan or the term of 31 years which should longest last for the yearly rent of 4-5-9 1/2 pounds sterl [sterling?] free of all taxes Crown Rent, quit Rent excepted with ye sum of [2/1?] and 1/2 in the 1 receives Fees. He shall so suit [&?] service at ye court [Lists?] and Court Baron held in the [Manner?] agreed upon lawful summons. He shall grind all his grindable grain he shall grow or be [expended?] yon [on?] premises /seed lawn excepted/ at ye [Manr?] or mills and shall pay for ye grinding ye usual tole [toll?] or [mor?] and shall do his proportionate part of keeping ye mills or mills in order &c &c signed and sealed in the presence of Susana Revett &c William Hamilton Mounjoy [Mountjoy?] on backe [back?] of this Lease is the following "Know all men by these presents that I, the within Mentioned Wm [William?] Buchannon of Baragh doe [do?] hereby give grant sell assign and make over unto John Campbell of Letterbratt Co Tyrone aforesaid his Hairs [Heirs?] Excutors [Executors?] Administs [Administrators?] [&?] Assignees the within lease of three lives or thirtyone years together with all rights members and Appurtenances thereunto belonging. And that for and in consideration of the sum of 18 pounds sterl. [sterling?] to me paid in hand the receipt I doe [do?] hereby acknowledge.
