Hi everyone, My name is Matt and I am new to this listserv. I have one lineage of ancestors from County Tyrone, that of my great-great grandmother Mary Gorman(1860-1951). According to her death certificate from the Bronx, NYC, her parents' names were James Gorman and Hannah McGuiness. This information helped me to find grave plots in NYC for her parents and all of her siblings (Rose, Patrick, James). When I went to FamilySearch.org, I was able to find some records that might be that of her siblings, but I'm not sure. Here are my questions. 1) The records I found on family search match up roughly with the birth dates from the tombstone of the brothers and sisters (there is no record for Mary though). However, all of the FamilySearch.org records list the father as James Gorman (a match), but the mother is listed as "Hannah McGrece/McGrease." Do you know if McGuiness and McGrece could be misconstrued as the same surname? 2) Some records indicate different locations of birth. For example, Rose Gorman (sister, born 1865) is listed as born in IRVINESTOWN,*FERMANAGH* ,IRELAND(https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/F5P1-5MZ). On the other hand, one of her brothers, Patrick (born 1867) is listed with similar parents but in IRVINESTOWN, *TYR*, IRE (https://familysearch .org/pal:/MM9.1.1/F5J7-XYW). Can anyone account for this difference? Thanks very much! - Matt
