I have done a bit of research on my side of the family but found this too confusing to know how to start. It hadn't occurred to me to look at Scotlands People but I have just done that following your suggestion and they must have been there for Hugh to work at the Dalmellington Iron Company. It also gives the marriage date of the parents. I hadn't found the families in 1911 and now I have details of where they come from which should narrow it down. I now have a whole weekend to play on the computer and follow up everything you have found for me.
