He attended Trinity College Dublin and graduated B.A. 1828, M.A. 1832. Someone who was visiting Dublin looked at the Alumni Dublinenses and said the name of his father was given as "John" - but I cannot get over there myself - it is likely his father attended TCD as well and maybe brothers. The next instance recorded is his marriage in Cheltenham in 1840 where he was listed as a clergyman with the East India Company. He married Maria Harriet Farrington [b 5 November 1820] daughter of Lt.-Col. Sir Henry Maturin Farrington, 3rd Bt. and Jane Curry. I have followed his life and career thereafter to his death, but I cannot go any further back with him, cannot find his parents, etc. btw The name George re-occurs - he called one of his sons George, and a grandson was called George. Any help/guidance would be appreciated. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
