She married a Robert Smyth at Camus Juxta Mourne on Dec 28, 1823. Her brother, Thomas Dogherty was witness to their marriage. Rosanna and Robert had least one daughter, Elizabeth, born Dec 18, 1826. Robert passed away sometime before 1840 and Rosanna left Ireland for NB, Canada and took her daughter with her. Her daughter, Elizabeth, was my GG grandmother and always said proudly that she was from Strabane. That is about all we have on Rosanna's history. Apparently, Rosanna was disowned by her Dogherty family after her husband died, because she had fallen in love with the caretaker of their estate and this is why she moved to Canada, to be with him.
