    3. Hello Ally If it mentions "Administration" this indicates there was no Will, hence no image available. All there is, is what you have viewed on line. Michael Murphy who was granted administration was the son of the deceased James MurphyThe death certificate will give name and address of the person reporting and registering the death who may or may not be the next of kin. regards Robert www.ulsterancestry.com > Date: Wed, 29 May 2013 14:34:55 -0400 > From: [email protected] > To: [email protected] > Subject: Re: [NIR-TYRONE] [CoTyIre] Ordering Document from PRONI > > I went back to look, it says, "24 March Administration of the estate of > James Murphy late of Annaghmakeown County Tyrone Farmer who died 19 February > 1897 granted at Armagh to Michael Murphy of Annaghmakeown Steel Worker the > Son Effects £61 10s." > > To me this seems to have more text. 3. Hello Sean, I have not heard it mentioned. I can ask, but as far as I am aware PRONI only intend to do major update to their website each year. The Revision Books was 2012-2013. 2. I went back to look, it says, "24 March Administration of the estate of James Murphy late of Annaghmakeown County Tyrone Farmer who died 19 February 1897 granted at Armagh to Michael Murphy of Annaghmakeown Steel Worker the Son Effects £61 10s." To me this seems to have more text. It sounds like it should say "... The Son of xxxxxx". In my family tree Michael and James were brothers (again if I have the right family), which would make James ".....the son of Edward". So, I guess there is no will, just possibly a letter of administration. Now to get a death cert. 3. hi Robert, I wonder if you could ask PRONI if they intend putting online the Poll Tax List for Fermanagh which was taken in the 1600s ?? That would be a great help for me. I have an O'FEE family in the 1659 Census, but it doesn't give any names. In the Hearth Tax return there is a mention of Donagh O'FEE, who is probably the Grandfather of Patrick FEE 1715-1784 who is buried in Pubble graveyard. LDS indexes of those church records show what you seem to have found: Name: Jane Ardray Gender: Female Christening Date: Mar 1816 Christening Place: DONAGHMORE,TYRONE,IRELAND Father's Name: Wm Ardray Mother's Name: Jane Indexing Project (Batch) Number: C70070-1 GS Film number: 0962187 IT 9 You can read through all the Ardrey/Ardray entries in that database in the IGI (International Genealogical Index) on LDS FamilySearch, under Batch # C70070-1. Exact dates were not always written in early church records, and the month and year may be all that was written for Jane's baptism or christening at the time. Microfilmed originals of these Donaghmore records are at PRONI in Belfast. You could have a researcher there go over all the Donaghmore records for you, to fully extract details on the various Ardreys. Ardrey is NOT a common name in County Tyrone, and this March 1816 baptism/christening certainly seems to be the same Jane Ardrey who is in your family tree. Regards, Annie C. James SCOTT was born in 1799, though I do not know where. Burke's records would have me believe he was born in Broomhill ,FIFE, Scotland. What I do know is that he married an Eliza NEWTON in Co. Antrim 1820. James SCOTT owned Bloomhill (different from Broomhill )in the parish of Tullyniskan, in the Barony of Dungannon, in the province of Ulster, in Co. Tyrone. I have heard there are no census records from 1821-91 in this area, as they were burned or destroyed by the government. However, I recently came across James SCOTT's will. He died 06/05/1873 in Dungannon. The will also states that his eldest son Thomas Scott predeceased him. I am not sure if I am allowed to give the link to the source. The will mentions that he had a cousin called Thomas SCOTT Jr., residing in Rathfryland. Other sons I know existed are: Robert William SCOTT m. Charlotte Pike, from whom I descend, Andrew Newton SCOTT, named in the will, and James Hamilton SCOTT. James SCOTT might have been a J.P for Co. Tyrone. If anyone could please help me discover James Scott of Bloomhill's parentage and where he, and his parents came from I would be most grateful as this problem has had me stumped for awhile. James SCOTT's wife Eliza NEWTON was descended from the NEWTONs of Carrickfergus. This I know to be fact as in James SCOTT's will it mentions other descendants of the Carrickfergus NEWTONs. Eliza was born in 1898. I am also struggling to find who her exact parents are as well, I think her father is most likely to be Henry NEWTON b.1779. Please could someone also attempt to find whom Eliza's parents are, as this is another problem that has had me stumped.
