I have only basic info, no supporting data: Hamilton Lewis O'Donnell Born: 1810 Omagh, County Tyrone, Ireland Died: 20 Nov 1866 Wife was Emily Jane Todd. His parents were Hamilton Lewis O'Donnell and Jane Stephens. Any info on them would also be great. His son, also Hamilton Lewis O'Donnell (with no supporting docs) he was born 1 Jan 1850 Omagh, County Tyrone, Ireland. He came to Australia sometime before 1872 when he married Annie Brown(e) born 14 Jul 1854 Rolessay, County Tyrone, Ireland (again, no supporting docs). As the records aren't online, I'm having a bit of trouble with this branch of the family. Any assistance would be most helpful. I have a bit of information about this family once they reach Australia. Cheers, Michelle Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. You may want to check the valuation records to see if the records bear this out and if so, when this happened (that may be a clue to when John McFARLAND died). I did not see a listing for a Sarah McCollum signing a Declaration in the Ulster Covenant. I suggest you try the 1911 Census which is closest in time to the UC record to see who was living with Andrew at the time. The census entry should indicate if he was a widower and his age as well as anyone living in the house with him on the night of April 2nd. The LDS has microfilmed this record and the film number for the Dunbreen D.E.D. is 2146022 Item 3. Within that record, the specific reference for Carrigans in the 1911 Census is 95/3. The Full Abstract: "Probate of the Will of Andrew McCollum late of Crosh County Tyrone Farmer who died 25 November 1916 granted at Londonderry to Charles Lyons and Andrew McCollum Farmers." If you don't know the townland for each of the births, order the films to an LDS Family History Centre. The actual entries will give the place (i.e., townland) of birth and the townland of residence of the child's father and the informant (the person notifying the Registrar of the birth). With the townland, you can look into many more records, e.g., various land records, estate records, etc. I hope that helps.
