I note that you have both McCRORYs and ROGERS. I am not sure if you are aware tht those are the same name, just that ROGERS is the Anglicized version of McCRORY. I have McCRORYs too, but from near the Greencastle area in the parish of Bodoney Lower. If you think any of your McCRORYs would have been alive & in Tyrone in 1901, let me know who, their approx. ages, and the townland or parish. 3. Hi,its been sometime since I have tried to contact "Corrigans"in County Tyrone in the area around "Clonavaddy",parish of Donaghamore. In the Griffith Valuations there is at least 10 Corrigan's listed leasing land in this area.I am interested in 2,John & John Jr. because, my Ggfather's father was John.My question is,are there any Corrigan familys living in this area now that can trace their ancestors back to a John Corrigan, are their any Corrigan familys that have traced their ancestors back to Corrigans in this area? I would love to hear from them and see if we have any possible connections. In 2003 I found the descendants of my grandfathers youngest brother still living in County Tyrone. He ,my Gfather and 4 of his brothers plus their sister went to County Durham in Northern England. My gfather and gmother with 2 children,my father and his sister came to the states in 1888 and lived in Philadelphia PA.,where they had 4 more children.I would love to hear from anyone who fits the categories above. You have made me a VERY happy person!!! You are the first one to EVER respond to my message board query since 2004! I was a bit surprised that Adaline was your grandmother, since, according to my records, she was never married! I have her death certificate, all the census' (except for 1890, of course) since they showed up in the Reserve Twp., PA census in 1850 'til the 1910 census where she had a TON of relatives living with her. That was how I connected Eliza K McFarland and her "branch" to Marks. Also, I wanted to know if you are talking about the Hiland Presbyterian Church Cemetery, in regards to tombstone? I, also, have pictures of them. I have death certificates, obituaries (some of them (from the mid 1800's) are pretty useless), some marriage licenses, some of Ezekiel's Civil War info and POSSIBLY a picture of him, a bunch of McFarland "tree's" - some of which I am still trying to connect to our branch. I live in the South Hills (Jefferson! Hills) of Pittsburgh, but my parents still live in McCandless Twp. Perhaps we can meet somewhere or talk on the phone and compare info. My phone number is 412 / 233 - 9448 and my name is Michele McFarland (I am married to a BLOOD McFarland. Why I have put soo much time and effort into this tree is well beyond me, especially since WWIII nearly erupted because of it!). My email address is thegopher2000@yahoo.com. Our internet is down right now (hopefully it will be back up by Thursday 3/6/08), so we have to use the Public Library computers. Unfortunely, we don't get up there everyday to check our email, so it may take a couple of days to get back to you. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR RESPONDING TO THIS INQUIRY!!!!!!!!!!!!! He was Catholic. He was my gggg-grandfather. His origin in Strabane is supported historically by use of name 'Strabane' for name of farm in New Jersey by a probable co-emigrant. Also, as a lineal male ancestor, he presumably shared my Y-DNA record, which has been tested to be that of 'Niall of the Nine Hostages'. The 'Niall' record has a frequency approaching 10-20% among males in the vicinity of modern Strabane. Contacts appreciated. More information about Dr. Richard Collins is in my ancestry file at http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=garyscottcollins&id=I112549580. Francis (known as Black Francie) was married twice, firstly to Maggie Hackett (sister of Mary Alice), and secondly to Sarah Lee. Francie and Sarah had children Vera, Josie and Frank. 3. That might have some connection to my line of Hagans, Thomas Hagan, wife Hannah Marley and sons Thomas and James. There are probably other siblings but never been able to find them. James and Thomas migrated to Australia in 1838 and 1840's respectively. Which is where I come in - direct descendent of James and Sarah Any clues as to whether this might fit? He was in Frederick County, Maryland U.S.A. by 1780. Francis Hagan is related to a Thomas Hagan who was born in County Tyrone, Ireland in 1643 but, according to DNA tests, Francis is from a line of one of Thomas' brothers, cousins or uncles. I know nothing about Francis Hagan's family. Anyone with information about this Irish connection please contact me. > Tks, > Fred Hagan > > Important Note: > The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
