Searching for background on George W. DILLEN from Northern Ireland. He was born originally, according to him, in County Derry, but he had immigrated to the States, prior to 1823. He gave as his birth "about 1793," and he was to die 24 November 1882 in Clearfield County, Pennsylvania. After he arrived from Ireland George first settled in Philipsburg, Centre County, PA and then he moved to Mount Pleasant, Clearfield County. He bought land there and in 1855 and he built a residence which was his home until his death. George had married Eliza HOOVER, about 1823 so he had immigrated by that time. Regards, Jim Carroll

Up comes another logo, and then immediately it is transferred to the IFHF site. jjc ----- Original Message ----- From: "E Macklin" <emacklin@rogers.com> To: <nir-tyrone@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, September 28, 2008 11:48 AM Subject: [NIR-TYRONE] Roots Web Conference On-Line > Good morning list: > > For those of you who can pull this up, there is a series of interesting > interviews from the Roots Web Conference last month. > Included in the list of interviews is one with Feargal O'Donnell of the > Irish Family History Foundation on Roots Television and > with Dick Eastman who conducted all of the nine interviews. > I hope you find this series of interviews helpful and as a guide to > future research in Ireland. They did and had 6 children while they were living in the parish. there was also an indication that there was a connection to the Sinclair Family. John Law married Elizabeth Sinclair. They had 6 children so far as I can find. These were Sarah, Robert, Annie, Thomas, William and John. I have traced all of these apart from Sarah but I know she married James Law in 1859.
