I am researching The Robinson family of Auchnacloy. My grandfather Alexander Robinson, married Ellen Boyle in 1915 in Auchnacloy( I have the marriage cert, It says Alexander was illegitimate. Alexander died estranged from the family in Liverpool in 1958 aged 60. I can only find one Alexander that would fit the time bracket for birth. His mother was MARGARET ROBINSON (NEE IRWIN,if she was married??) Her mother was Rebecca Irwin( Head/ Housekeeper) widow. Her 2 sons Thomas 30,and John 25, and Margaret 27 with her children,Robert 12,Margaret 7 Aelx4.and Lewis 10mths all lived in same household.I do not know the address in Findermore Clogher. I live in Spain and cannot get to LDS centre,-too far away. Can anyone help with further information on this family please. I have recently found out that I may be related to a John Irwin, who was 25 yrs old in 1901. His mother was a Rebecca Irwin, a widow with another son Thomas and sister Margaret. It looks likely that Margaret may be my greatgrandmother, but have to wait for her son Alexander's birth cert to arrive here in Spain. I wonder if your John is also Rebecca's son. One other search found a Dr Alexander HAROLD Robinson in area, and Alexanders middle name was Harold(only knew this after seeing his death cert it seems he did not use it at all) Probably a wild goose chase, but you never know!! Hi List, Happy New Year to all. Would there be any way to find a marriage of a William SCOTT to Mary GASTON sometime prior to 1818? Mary's parents were John GASTON and Ann GRAHAM and William's parents were Charles SCOTT and Jane BEATTIE/BATTY. Or to find William, Mary and family departure to Australia in approx 1847 Thanks in advance Kerry

I suppose I will have to wait until I go back to UK ,for that. I shall have to try again and see what info I can get on the Police side, there doesn't seem to be any online records for the RIC/RUC. I have this CHRISTMAS,mae contact with cousins who still live in Tyrone, and perhaps they will do some reseach for me, although I find I seem to be the only one that has caught the genealogy BUG!! THEY ARE NOW IN THEIR 70'S, and very much depends on their mobility,AND whether I can interest them in their grandfather!! Once again thanks and take care. I would order and look at this census first and see who the non- Robinson people on the cenus are and the relationship of the people on the census before presuming that he is the one that you are looking for. You would also see the exact address on the census. I would do this before trying to find any birth records as you say it can be costly ordering them and then finding they aren't what you are looking for. I just can't believe no one asn't found anything on Grandpa Thomas! It's like he just droped down from the clouds. I wonder if there is so way we could track him from Mr. Meek since Thomas was an indentured servant to Mr. Meek and that is how he got his passage to the colonies. Tyrone for the 1901 Census which I got for another Robinson researcher at the Omagh Library. there is only one Alexander I can find around the age that would fit for 1896/7, however the woman in the family group is shown as married and there are other children older and younger than the Alexander. The family are referenced with a number and the numbers 01/02/03 are not there so the first three members of the household must have a different surname and not Robinson. All these numbers below are Robinsons. 04 is Margaret aged 27 married C of Ireland, Findermore, Clogher 05 is Robert aged 12 06 is Margaret aged 7 07 is Alexander aged 4 08 Lewis aged 10 months without looking at the full census record it's not possible to know if all these children belong to Margaret or not. There doesn't appear to be a Robinson husband. Can yo go to a Latter Day Saints family history centre in Spain and order the 1901 Census for the Townland of Findermore in the civil Parish of Clogher?
