I am aware that, in the US, the only way you can gain access to information about a birth mother is if both the birth mother and the child, in this case your husband not you,are both registered to make contact with each other. It takes both to act. My friend had put her information in years earlier but the birth mother had just recently put hers in. But genealogy researchers are known to be patient, right?
