    3. Hi Looking for Ann LINDSAY c1800 married c1825 to John Keenan c1800... possibly from Rosstrevor, Kilbroney or Warrington in Co Down. No records of marriage or births of children anywhere in Co Down...Their children lived for a period of time in Tullylish, possibly town of Gilford or Laurencetown where a group of them married from late 1840's to 1850's. Thomas KEENAN b1831 m Cecilia McCAFFREY 1854; William KEENAN m Sarah THOMPSON 1850; Arthur KEENAN m Catherine Treanor 1853; John KEENAN m Elizabeth McCAFFREY c1854; Peter KEENAN m Ann QUINN c 1849; all at St John the Evangelist RC ...girls Ellen nver married and possibly Rose, Cis Margaret and Elizabeth most came to live in Johnstone, Renfrewshire, Scotland from 1857 and some then moved from Scotland to NY MA CT and IA in USA Trying to locate original townland or parish in Down as we are fairly certain they did not originate in Tullylish. Not remotely concerned with religion, but sense that unusual to see Lindsay surname as RC as experience shows that this is traditionally a Scots Presbyterian name or COI. Feel that this may be a clue as to Ann LINDSAY's home townland. If anyone knows these LINDSAYS please let me know. Any general ideas or suggestions to origins context of this period very welcome Thanks Paul T KEENAN Giffnock Scotland
