Many thanks Bev. I am not sure these fit in with my family yet. I found a similar situation, as you mentioned, in the 1851 census . They had a 63 yo and 60 yo couple as having a 3 year old daughter.If I could be sure that these were grandparents and not parents I would be failry certain they were my family. Does anyone know if it was common to make such mistakes or maybe if the real parents were dead or missing would they have said they were daughters/sons for custody issues? How likely was it for 57 yo women to have babies in those days?
