Alison My problem was the reverse.?? In the scottish census of 1851 my grandparents were listed as 35 and 39 with children ages 24 and 21.?? Instead they should have been 55 and 59 years old. Your family could have been more likely 40 and 43 since a 4 could look like a 6.? then Mom would have been abt 37 when having the child.??? Can you ask someone to look at the real census instead of the? transcribed version to prove the numbers of the ages?????
