    3. I've followed the messages re Greyabbey with interest, since it's my understanding that Greyabbey was/is the parish for Ballycastle, where my 2gtgrfather James NEWALL/ELL was born bet 1819-1821. Could I ask if Glen could contact me offline please. A Newall cousin is planning to visit Greyabbey and Ballycastle in search of information about our family. This will be his first trip to the area, (James married and died in Burntisland, Fife, Scotland, and he has made numerous trips there with success in locating living family), and he would greatly appreciate any tips on where to stay in the area, and how to go about researching any available local records. Thanks so much in advance. 3. Greyabbey is a parish and the townland of Ballycastle I believe is or was in the parish of Newtownards. There was Ballycastle Upper and Lower. Land leases could be registered in Greyabbey in the 19th.C ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dawn Williams" <dawnewil@verizon.net> To: <nir-down@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, November 22, 2007 6:16 PM Subject: Re: [NIR-DOWN] Interested in Greyabbey and Ballycastle genealogysurname NEWALL / NEWELL > I've followed the messages re Greyabbey with interest, since it's my > understanding that Greyabbey was/is the parish for Ballycastle, where my > 2gtgrfather James NEWALL/ELL was born bet 1819-1821. > Could I ask if Glen could contact me offline please.
