Patricia coincidence or not My grandmother was named Elizabeth McKEE and was born 10 Dec 1864 in Ballynahinch. There is no Christian name on her birth certificate (as with the IGI) uncovered within my father's effects. Her parents were John McKEE and Catherine (EMERSON) Peter

Peter / Patricia I have a Hugh McKee Erskine in my family Tree and as he married an Agnes Armstrong from Ballynahinch I have suspected the Erskines came from Ballynahinch area as well as the Armstrongs. . Hugh emigrated to New Zealand c 1881 and Agnes at the age of 19 sailed there to be wed possibly on her own or maybe with someone else c 1883 .They were married at the residence of a Thomas McKee. Now many years later c 1916 my Great Aunt was married in Belfast by a Rev John/James McKee. As yet I haven't unraveled the McKee Erskine connection but there must be one. The Erskines apparently came across from Scotland at some time. If any of these names link up with your family I would be pleased to know. Hi Peter and Patriica I too have a Elizabeth McKee she is my ggg grandmother all i know her father was John i dont know her mothers name .Eliza married a David Clarke they had two Daughters Elizabeth and Mary .Elizabeth married a Robert McConnell in 1890 in Scotland . Robert came from Donegal .
