Hi Ive joined this list in the hope someone knows anything about this family. Im hoping its mine. My brickwall is Hugh RONEY who died Feb 1839 in Whitehaven Cumberland England aged 47. He was killed in a pit disaster (he was a miner). I have no clues at to where he came from- his children all say on census returns they were born in Whitehaven (from circa 1820) I have searched for Hugh Roneys far and wide and have found this baptism record- its looking like a definate possibility and so I would like to learn more about the family, even if only to eliminate them.
