I have a question about my DICKSON Family. I know most were born in Loughbrickland. I have found a cousin on the internet who is descended from my great great grandfather's sister. She has sent me some old letters written early 1900s. From Sydney, N.S.Wales, Australia to Ireland and it is asking question about the Dickson Family. She is asking if this relative remembers or knows anything about a Squire Dickson, Newry Hall about 1 English mile from Newry. There are several great stories about this Squire. He could have lived 2-3 hundred years ago. She thinks he owned Newry Hall or Fisnagammon Estate, it seems he lost his home to a man by the name McCullough. I was wondering if any of these places ring a bell with someone. Or should I be looking in Armagh? These are the most interesting letters I feel so lucky to have them. Thanks for listening.
