    3. My late wife's Duncan's from Killybegs, Southern Donegal had a story of rowing to church in Scotland. (I do not think they were then living in Donegal) A few years ago I was shown on the Web the 1795 or 1840's Statistical Return for Portpatrick. Wigtonshire in Scotland when the Minister said that some 500 people rowed across for Sunday service. I can't recall if the report said where they came from. I could only assume from County Down.
