Hi Folks I know that most (all) cemeteries of Down have been transcribed by Historical Societies as they have been here in Canada as well but I'm unsure of the dates? In Canada, when we transcribe a cemetery we include all stones including the recent ones. I have transcribed many a cemetery myself in my area and have also photographed the stones. Could someone tell me what years the transcribed inscriptions go up to in Ireland? Are they up to the present or do they stop in the 1920's, 30's etc. Thanks and all the best Jim Beattie jim.sherrybeattie@kos.net

Thanks folks for all the help. It sounds as if someone wants to find a headstone inscription from the 1920's or 30's they're pretty much out of luck. all the best Jim jim.sherrybeattie@kos.net
