    3. You will need to look at the website http://www.groni.gov.uk/index.htm to get details for the Northern Ireland General Register office. It is in the Centre of Belfast and easily accessible. If you want to spend a half day using indexes or have a search (both have a charge) it is a good idea to book in advance via the web site as they can get quite busy and are primarily a Government Office rather than a genealogical centre Ella Ella Patterson Cataloguer Cataloguing Department Main Library Resources Management Division The Queen's University of Belfast University Square Belfast BT7 1LS Northern Ireland Tele: +44 28 90973639 Email: e.patterson@qub.ac.uk -----Original Message----- From: nir-down-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:nir-down-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Roxanne Neel Sent: 12 February 2008 16:16 To: nir-down@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [NIR-DOWN] Going to Ireland The address I have for the General Register Office is Convent Road, Roscommon, Co. 3. Hi Ella ~ So there is a GRONI and a GROIreland? Not being from the area certainly has its disadvantages. I have received several marriage and/or death records from GRO Ireland for family in County Down - I hope they are accurate! Thanks for setting me straight.
