David NEVIN born about 1794. Died 1888. Had small Linen business in Donaghadee. Wife not yet known. Children included Thomas, Elizabeth Mary, Sarah, James, Samuel (born from about 1820 to 1837). Grandson John TAYLOR born in 1843, was working on merchant ships for about 7 years. Arrived in Australia 1870. Anyone who can help please contact Mavis TAYLOR.
The 1843 Directory for D'dee listed David Nevin as having a sewed muslin warehouse on Main St. Griffith's 1863-4 listed a Mary J. Nevin leasing a house, yard and small garden in Mount St. from Mary Ross. It also listed a Mary A. Nevin who leased a hous in High St. from Mrs Brown. She also leased the same from Daniel Delacherois in Mount St. James Nevin leased a house, yard and small garden in New Row from Rev. William Skelly. David Nevin leased the same from Robert Gray in High St. John Taylor was listed as leasing a house, yard & small garen in Railway St. from Daniel Delacherois.
