    3. Hello Does anyone know, please, if it is possible to check if a birth, marriage or death for a particular name has been registered in Northern Ireland at any time since 1922, OTHER THAN by making a formal application for a Registrar's Certificate and paying the fee of GBP 10.00 or whatever? (This is to avoid spending money and Registrars staff time looking for a birth, marriage of death 'event' which may never have actually happened in Northern Ireland.) If I were doing this for a B,M,D 'event' in England and Wales, I could use the "St Catherine's House Indexes", whether at a LDS Family History Centre or a local archive but these Indexes don't of course include Northern Ireland. If I were attempting it in the Republic of Ireland, there is apparently a series of LDS films available for loan via their Family History Centres of Indexes to B,M,D , 1922-1959. However, the corresponding films of B,M,D *Northern* Ireland for 1922-1959 are marked in the LDS catalogue as "No circulation to family history centers", (presumably for copyright reasons). So, am I missing something? .. or is it just not possible to do what I want to do? Any advice would be most welcome. Thanks. Brian
