    3. Dear Listers...Thank you Rosemary and Patrick for your comments to my query and also Nancy...sorry there isn't any Hunter connections in your Carse line. Matthew was a miller and he had a flax mill and corn mill in Ravara Killinchy. In his will he mentions all my freehold and chattel property in the townlands of Ballygowan and Ravara and any other property he has all being left to his life. Anna Orr was the executrix and it is recorded she was living with Matthew and his wife at the time the will was made out . According to the 1963 Griffiths Valuation his wife leased out 18 acres and a flax and corn mill. I obtained the full will from PRONI when I was there a couple of years ago. However looking at their website of wills I found the full abstract and I can see that Anna Orr had married in the 10 years it had taken for the will to be proved to James Carse of Killinchy. Effects of will 50 pounds. (I imagine this would not have taken into account the property value). I'm following this up as I would imagine Anna Orr would have been a relative and trying to find a connection with my Hunters. Thank you. Maureen

    3. Maureen, By doing a bit of cross referencing it seems as if Anna Orr(father Robert) married James Carse in 1859. Unfortunately her marriage certificate won't give her mother's name but perhaps it's a step in the right direction. If you know the church she married in, it is likely to be the one she was baptised in. You can find this infor on Emerald Ancestors. I don't have a subscription this month, but perhaps some kind soul will look it up for you. 3. Maureen, Thanks to Patricia we now know that Anna Orr was married in Killinchy Non Subscribing Church, so with a bit of luck she was baptised there as well. The records are held in PRONI ref CR/4/7 You can see a picture and history of the church on http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~rosdavies/PHOTOSwords/KillinchyAll.htm#non RosemaryJoan ----- Original Message ----- From: "maureenoc" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, March 07, 2009 12:26 AM Subject: [NIR-DOWN] Re Will Matthew Hunter > Dear Listers...Thank you Rosemary and Patrick for your comments to my > query and also Nancy...sorry there isn't any Hunter connections in your > Carse line. > > Matthew was a miller and he had a flax mill and corn mill in Ravara > Killinchy.
