    1. Re: [NIR-DOWN] STEVENSON family from Co. Down
    2. Kathy Stevenson
    3. Hi Shirley, I don't know if you are researching Stevenson, but they are also from Co Down, migrated to Antrim, then our lot came to Canada... Wendy Hello Wendy and Shirley, and other Listers, My STEVENSON line came from the Banbridge area of County Down, specifically the Tullylish and Ballyvally areas. My great grandparents were Robert STEVENSON (born in December 1852/3) married Mary ANTHONEY/ANTHONY (born 2 April 1847) around 1880, probably in Banbridge, according to family tradition. My paternal grandfather, James STEVENSON was born in 1883 in Ballyvally, and his older brother, Thomas, was born in 1881 in Tullylish. Mary ANTHONEY's father was James ANTHONEY. A daughter, Jane, was born in 1886, and in 1887 the family emigrated onboard the PARISIAN from Liverpool, England, to Quebec City, Quebec, Canada, landing on the 7th of June 1887. The lived at 22 Alma Avenue in Toronto, Ontario for many years. Mary ANTHONEY STEVENSON died on the 25th of December, 1920, and Robert STEVENSON died on the 2nd of May, 1941. They both died in Toronto and are buried in Prospect Cemetery. This is all the information I have on these two lines. I would love to hear from anyone that may have come across these families, especially the ANTHONEY family. Thank you for your time. Regards, Kathy Stevenson Elmira, Ontario, Canada [email protected]
