I recently found my gggrandfather's baptism record online (a wonderful breakthrough! - records keep getting added on-line). The transcription of the record (from an 1825 entry) includes the following: Parish/District: DROMORE Roman Catholic Address 1: BELLANY Address 2: (blank) Address 3: Banbridge Address 4: Co Down What I don't understand is the "Address 1" - "BELLANY" Would this be a street in Banbridge? or a village in the townland of Banbridge? or ??? If I Google "Bellany" "Banbridge" "County Down" I really don't get any relevant hits. I can't find any street named "Bellany" on current on-line maps of Banbridge. Any ideas would be appreciated.
