Sharon What is this Deeds Registry? I haven't heard of it. Michelle Roberts (Rice) Western Australia Date: Sun, 08 Feb 2009 13:50:14 -0800 From: Sharon Oddie Brown <[email protected]> Subject: Re: [NIR-DOWN] REA of Ballynahinch, 1700s To: [email protected] Message-ID: <[email protected]> Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed; charset=iso-8859-1; reply-type=original Have you tried the deeds registry - looking not only under REA but also the family names of women that they may have married? It is tedious work, but sometimes breaks down brick walls when nothing else works. It either means a trip to Dublin, or else ordering records through LDS. At the LDS site (www.familysearch.org ) look in the catalog under "Transcripts of memorials of deeds, conveyances and wills, 1708-1929". The film numbers and such will be there along with a description. The Registry of Deeds is in Dublin. You can Google that.
