    3. I am looking for information on the families of my two Grandparents who were both born in Northern Ireland. John Patton was the youngest of 10 children born to Thomas Patton and Esther Callender. Born 1905. Had 7 siblings that survived childhood, and at least 4 that were alive after 1941. Sister Winifred b/1893 married Samuel Lyttle Downey in 1914/ ; Esther b/1895 married William Moore in 1919, Isabel b/1896; Agnes Vincent b/1898 married Edgar McCutcheon; Elizabeth b/1900; William Callender b/1902; and Vincent b/1904. My Grandfather emigrated to Canada in 1929. He married Maggie Gault the daughter of Hugh Gault and Sarah Laughlin. They were from the Belfast, Monkstown area. She had sisters Sarah, Jane, Susan, and a brother Hugh. Her three sisters ended up in the U.S. but I have not been able to find any information on her family in Ireland. The Patton family in Belfast seems to have dissappeared after 1941. They were in the Real estate business. I am aware that Agnes Vincent and her husband Edgar McCutcheon inherited one of the family homes in 1941. That was on Groomsport Road in Bangor. The two other brothers shared the rest of their mother's estate and business that had been passed to her from the estate of Thomas Patton in 1912. At the time of Esther Patton's death in 1940, William Callender Patton operated the Patton Estate business at 100 High Street, Belfast. Brother Vincent seems also to have been involved and lived on Shandon Road in Bangor. Do any of these names or events ring a bell with anyone? I am desperately trying to piece together the history of these families. Thanks Gord Patton Zurawel Patton Sample Tel: 1-416-303-5494 Fx: 1-905-576-4975 Em: [email protected] www.zps.ca
