According to Researching your Down Ancestors, by Ian Maxwell, and the New Genealogical Atlas of Ireland, Drumgath Parish was in Upper Iveagh (Upper half) Barony,Poor Law Union of Newry,Catholic Parish Drumgath(Rathfriland) with Rathfriland 1st,2nd,3rd Presbyterian Congregations.
